Say: The baseball field is divided into two areas of play Infield and Outfield Infield is full of action and reaction - when the infielder hears the crack of the bat they charge the ball - it takes split-second reactions to field the ball and through the runner out at 1st - many times the play is so close a tie goes to the runner. Outfielders do something very different when they hear the crack of the bat - they take a step away from the ball - what it takes to calculate the catching of a fly ball is very different than charging a ground ball.
