This advanced tool is used to create customized presentation storyboards built upon the extensive Circle of Wealth® system screen library. It is intended for use by experienced users who have attained "mastery level" understanding of the concepts and objectives of the existing presentations; and are now looking to fine-tune existing storyboards, or create new ones based on opportunities in their particular market environment. |
The presentation builder employes an intuitive 3-step process to visually create your new storyboards. Step 1: Select an existing presentation or calculator from the drop-down list provided in the upper left quadrant of the builder. Once a selection is made, a thumbnail view of each associated presentation screen will appear in the upper left quadrant of the builder. Please be aware that the thumbnail image may not contain all the visual elements of the built-out screen. The thumbnail "snapshot" is taken before any screen-loading animations take place. So although it may appear "incomplete", you can be assured the full functionality will be part of your custom presentation. Step 2: Click and Drag desired screen(s) from the upper left quadrant to the lower left quadrant of the builder. The lower left quadrant of the builder represents the custom storyboard you are designing. You may add as many screens (from as many existing presentations) as you desire to your custom storyboard. If you desire screens from a different existing presentation, simply select that presentation from the drop-down list as in step 1, and pull your desired screen down. You may rearrange the order of screens as you build your custom presentation by simply clicking on a screen in the bottom left quadrant and dragging it to the position you desire. You may delete a screen as you build your custom presentation by simply right-clicking on it. Add a custom screen: Click this button to create and add a screen based on an external image. The custom screen builder imports the image into a predefined themed screen template. Click Save Screen in the custom screen builder to add the completed custom screen to your custom presentation. At this point, the custom screen may be manipulated the same as any other screen in your custom presentation. Step 3: Name your presentation and select an icon from the list in the bottom left quadrant of the builder and click [Save Presentation]. Once the custom presentation is saved it will appear as an icon on the right side quadrant of the builder. This area is the listing of all existing custom presentations. (You custom presentation will now also appear in the launcher when the [Custom] launcher panel is selected from its panel drop-down list.) A word to the wise on creating custom presentations: Not all screens are designed to "stand alone". By this, we mean that some screens rely on data entered in preceding screens in their original presentations. You must take this into account and be sure to include all necessary "data collection" screens as you build your custom storyboard. Otherwise, you'll end up with a screen in your storyboard that either doesn't work properly, or have no ability to modify the assumptions used. |
Once created, your custom storyboards are just as "real" to the Circle of Wealth® system Launcher as the existing presentations. Thus, you may use and interact with them just as you normally would with any of the presentations. You will find your complete library of custom presentations in the Custom launcher panel (displayed when you select [Custom] from the launcher panel drop-down menu). If you plan to use a presentation frequently (or wish it to show up in the on-screen toolbar menu), we suggest you add it to your favorites list (right-click and select [Add to Favorites]). The only caveat here is that if you later decide to delete your custom presentation, you will need to manually delete it's app icon from favorites as well. |
You have two modification options with respect to custom storyboards. The may be overwritten (and thus "changed') or deleted (and thus "removed"). To change a custom storyboard, you may either "start fresh" and build a new storyboard from scratch (as described earlier), or you may use the existing storyboard as your starting point. To load your existing storyboard into the editor, simply click on it to select it in the custom presentations area (right quadrant) of the builder, and then click the [Manage]->[Edit] menu (top of right quadrant). In either case, once you are satisfied with the layout of your updated storyboard, simply save it with the same name as the one you wish to overwrite. To delete a custom storyboard, simply click on it to select it in the custom presentations area (right quadrant) of the builder, then click [Manage]->[Delete]. As stated previously, if you added that presentation to your favorites in the launcher, you'll need to manually delete the associated favorites icon. |
